PESHAWAR: Parents have been advised to prevent children from using mobile phones and the internet unnecessarily and to focus only on education as well as character building.
This was stated by the Chairman of Peshawar Intermediate and Secondary Education Council, Prof.
Nasrullah Khan Yousafzai addressing a ceremony held in Charsadda in honor of 145 post-holder students from Charsadda branch of Peshawar Model School (PMS) who had achieved first, second, third and other positions in the Top 20 in the 2020-21 Peshawar Council Review.
According to a press release, the function was addressed by PMS Director General Khwaja Sheraz Nasir and School Principal Nasrat Nazir. Student boys and girls station holders and their parents attend the ceremony.
The board chairman said electronic marking of four subjects – physics, chemistry, English and Urdu – will be launched this year for transparency and merit in the education system.
The official said Charsadda district is full of talent. He said that for the past two consecutive years, the PMS Charsadda branch has won the top three places in the Peshawar council’s annual examinations.
Earlier, the school principal, Nusrat Nazir, shed some light on the performance of the school.
Board Chairman Prof. Nasrullah Khan Yousafzai and Managing Director Khawaja Sheraz presented laptops, trophies, medals and memorabilia to the students holding the position.
Teachers who performed well were awarded gold fingers and certificates of appreciation on occasion. The pupils present paintings and national songs.
