Energetic was the best way to describe the performance given by the Air Force Starlifter Band on Thursday, July 21, as part of the music at the Broz in New Prague. The series of summer concerts held on the grassy area west of the Broz Hotel continued its course with large crowds and good weather. Crowds were estimated at around 300 people for each concert. The weather for the performances was warm and sunny.
The Starlifter Band is made up of active-duty Airmen and performed high-energy rock, along with a few ballads and a few traditional patriotic musical pieces. In the band were Technical Sergeant Ryan Rager on keyboard, Staff Sergeant Kathryn Yuill on drums, Staff Sergeant Bryan Andrews on bass, Senior Airman Josiah Joyce on guitar, and Staff Sergeant Melissa Griffith and Airman 1st Class Jessie Dunnavant both singing. Staff Sergeant Brad Femiak and Airman 1st Class Mike Peloquin worked on the group’s audio controls.
Several children enjoyed the music, getting up to dance during the show.
