“83” is the story of June 25, 1983, of one of the biggest upheavals in sport when 14 men fought against all odds and orchestrated India’s greatest sporting triumph by beating the two-time world champions of the West Indies in cricket. It opens on Friday and is unrated.
“Parallel mothers” is the story of two women in the hospital room where they are going to give birth. The two are single and got pregnant by accident. One is middle aged, don’t regret it, and she’s cheering. The other, a teenager, is scared, repentant and traumatized. The few words they exchange will create a very close bond between the two. “A newspaper for Jordan” stars Michael B Jordan in the story of 1st Sgt. Charles Monroe King who, before being killed in action in Baghdad, wrote a diary for his son intended to explain to him how to lead a decent life despite his childhood without a father. It is not classified and opens on Saturday.
A star cast is featured in “The Tragedy of Macbeth”, opening Saturday. Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand are the stars of the story of a Scottish lord, convinced by three witches, who is about to become King of Scotland. It is classified R.
“The velvet queen”, is a documentary set in the heart of the Tibetan highlands, as award-winning naturalist photographer Vincent Munier guides writer Sylvain Tesson in his quest to document the elusive snow leopard. It is not noted.
