The Earth has music… | Cross hikes

My head was swimming with the sounds of a typical day in the city. Horns, wailing sirens and the buzz of activity came at me from all angles. A slight pain began to rise just behind my temple and I began to feel the need to escape into the fresh air to listen to the music of the earth.

Just when I thought things were starting to calm down, a cacophony of sounds erupted from a few nearby construction sites. There was the surprisingly loud sound of a giant piece of sheet metal falling, followed by the high-pitched groan of a saw cutting through the concrete. The roar of construction work rose above the rest of the din.
